Pharmaceutical Operator in Barceloneta, PR

Work Schedule: 3rd shift, Candidates must be available to work on 1st shift and 2nd shift the first 3-4 months and/or in rotation shift, based on business needs. After completion of trainings will be reporting to 3rd shift.
 

Position Summary:

Pharmaceutical operator I is responsible for the manufacture of various granulation and tablet compression processes and the operation of related equipment according to the manufacturing order and in accordance with current good manufacturing practices.

Area under his responsibility granulation, screening, drying and compression of tablets.

Special Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleaning, adjustment (S/U) and operation of all equipment related to the granulation and compression process.
• Responsible for the receipt, verification and use of the raw material to be used.
• Responsible for following manufacturing order instructions and related procedures; including safety, proper handling, identification and process throughout the granulation area.
• Responsible for the quality, productivity and efficiency of the processes under his charge.
• Responsible for the required sampling in the areas under their responsibility.
• Responsible for knowing and operating the following equipment: scales, mixers, granulator, mills, ovens, sieve, "V-blenders" and preparing solutions related to the process.
• Responsible for Cleaning, Set Up and Operation of all equipment related to Manufacturing process.
• Responsible for receipt, verification and usage of raw materials to be used within the process.
• Responsible to follow manufacturing order instructions, basic operating procedures process related and procedures related to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Responsible for quality, productivity and process efficiencies under execution.
• Responsible for sampling requirements of the process.
• Responsible and knowledgeable of equipment operation such as weight scales, mixers, granulators, milling, sifters, ovens and blenders. Also, knowledge in solution preparation.

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma and two (2) years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or completed Technical Degree, from zero (0) to six (6) months of experience.
• Basic knowledge in mathematical calculations.
• Basic knowledge in the pharmaceutical area or related industry.
• Basic knowledge of GMP and Safety in material handling.
• mechanical skills.
• Basic, verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Perform their function within the requirements of the superior or designee

Experience required:

• Encapsulation, Compression, Granulation, Blending, extrusion
