Maintenance Technician I (Set up Mechanic)

Second Shift 2:30PM - 11PM

Job Description:

• Provide leadership, oversight, training, and guidance to Operations Packaging technicians while performing set up activities and achieve vertical start-up.
• Focus on efficient quality driven Mechanical setups.
• Provide leadership, Training and guidance while performing set up activities
• Provide Intermediate frontline troubleshooting while coming out of setups and during schedule operations
• Intermediate level Antares and other vision systems
• Participates in major asset rebuilds with Maintenance and Vendors
• Independently perform low level Maintenance PM’s Assist with Maintenance tasks including but not limited to; PM’s, troubleshooting, repair, and rebuilds of tooling, Capper chucks, HAPA and other packaging equipment
• Participates during Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis.
• Accurately documents all work hours and all Maintenance/Setup activities in CMMS. (Maximo)
• Conforms with requirements outlined in the MEP program
• Ability to complete full setups and train others on Multiple value streams (Blister, bottle, or syringe .

Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:

• Two years of expereince in industry related field
• Mechanical certificate preferred

What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?

1. Mechanical aptitude
2. Basic to intermediate understanding of proper hand tool use and application
3. Basic to intermediate skills with Microsoft Office

• Proficient in Maximo and POMS
• Knowledge of packaging equipment and set up tooling
• Konwledge of related cGMP requirements and applicable safety regulations
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales)
• Leadership qaulities with emphasis on motivating others ona cross functional team
• Strong troubleshooting skills

What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?

• Some experience with Manufacturing, Packaging (not required but very helpful)
• Mechatronics background
• Apprenticeship
• Technical Schooling

• Team role in high paced Packaging environment

Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required?

• Second Shift 2:30-11
• OT as required by business (rotate weekends)

• No, it’s 100% on-site critical

• We need someone who is willing to learn the Mechanical Maintenance trade while we supply all the tools to get them there.
• Set up production, set up Production Mechanic, cross train with Maintenance Technician
