Electrical Engineer in Clarksville, TN

Environment: Hybrid (3 in office & 2 remote)

Conversion to perm: Possible based on performance & headcount approval (no current opening)

Work week: Mon to Fri – Flexible between 7:00am to 9:00am start

Summary:

• Design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems.

Skills and Competencies:

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• Team player and detail oriented. Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
• Ability to perform details calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications.
• Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
• Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
• Estimate time and cost to complete projects.
• Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation.
• Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.
• Need EE with experience researching/comparing alternate electrical component supplier parts, equipment schematic reading, circuit trouble shooting, good organization skills.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor in EE, Science or Engineering or Associates degree along with relevant experience (5+ yrs to replace the Bachelor’s degree)
• 2 + yrs experience working with electrical components in manufacturing (equipment)/Harness manufacturing, UL508 control panel design & assembly
• Excellent communication skills – very critical (multiple locations, time zones)/able to communicate with various depts
• Excellent organizational skills – able to organize data and present to multiple audience
• MS Office Suite (Excel Intermediate)

NICE TO HAVE

• HVAC Industry experience
• Exposure to Electrical component
• Exposure to reading Schematics
• Project Management skills (tasks, timing, execution, etc.)
• 3D software Creo (familiar with the tool and not Design creation)
• Auto CAD
