Job Description

• Performs detailed analysis of monthly power-purchase invoices to identify potential errors.
• Review to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Work with counterparties to resolve disputed items.
• Download and scrub meter data (working with the meter department and the counterparties to resolve any missing or erroneous data).
• Prepare monthly power-purchase invoices for Independent Power Producers and Feed-in Tariff contracts.
• Review contracts to identify the key contract rights and obligations, prepare a contract summary, ensure that all Company and Vendor requirements are defined, summarized and scheduled Participate and contribute “cradle to grave” contract management from early involvement with developing the scope of work, RFP process, contract negotiation, contract award, contract maintenance, through contract closeout
• Develops tracking mechanisms and SharePoint systems to ensure accurate invoice processing.
• Develops the methodology for evaluating proposals received.
• Analyzes Facility operational data to determine compliance with contract. (Including classification of unit outages, unit heat rate, startups and other information reported to the System Operator.)
• Develop and maintain process documentation. Interact, communicate and champion process and information transfer to maximize implementation of improvement opportunities
• Assist the Manager of Power Portfolios in identifying and documenting gaps in vendor performance and make recommendations for improvement opportunities.
• Provide support and problem resolution to team in coordination with the appropriate partners (Legal, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Tax, Enterprise Risk Management, Engineering, Planning, Survey & Mapping etc.)
• Demonstrate teamwork - work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, leading and following as needed
• Perform job responsibilities based on established department procedures and controls.

Notes :

• Helping with commercial contracts, work under several controls, invoice review based on the power purchase agreements
• Must have good understanding with how generating units perform, operate, and behaves
• Must have Engineering degree; HM prefers an Electrical Engineering degree
• Moderate level of experience required; HM will consider a college graduate with minimal or no experience IF the candidate is professional and have good communication skills
• Position requires a lot of technical knowledge (in solar, wind, traditional combined cycle generator ect.)
• Maintaining existing contracts, invoice and contract management process, project management function working with internal and regulatory teams on the study of interconnecting systems, design, and engineering review, etc.
• Contract management include day-to-day monitoring, invoicing support, power contract administration.
• 70% contract management, 30% interconnect function (but this could change
• Must have advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be performance driven, analytical, professional, and have good communication skills
