Designer in Eddystone, PA

Job Description:              

• Required to have a two year technical degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5-10 years experience with drafting and design in the power industry.
• Required to have 3 years experience working directly with designing in a specific engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) including the ability to verify system configurations by performing field walk downs.

Position Requirements: Primary Duties

• Able to work with Configuration controls program.
• Design Change process – electrical environment (Major) and Mechanical ( Minor)
• Ensure the plant’s physical and functional characteristics are accurately reflected in the plant documents.
• Update Drawing for external suppliers and get their feedback.
• G&O of plant design changes in accordance with approved processes for assigned region.
• Prepare and approve design outputs and plant changes in accordance with approved processes and design requirements.
• Manage drawings and manuals for assigned regional plants and support management of other regional sites
• Support configuration control of engineering records (calculations, drawings, databases)
• Support engineering programs and functions. Support engineering department scheduling, equipment databases
• Assists in development of budgets, business plans and projects.
• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, & MicroStation
• Meet with internal and contract design staff as necessary to support engineering projects and initiatives.
• Interface with IT and support services supporting dept software programs for CAD and Document Control
