Shift Timings: 8:30 AM - 5 PM


Production artist group

  • Work is repetitive and meticulous.
  • Graphic designer will work for this role.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years Production graphics experience in a quality or operational function, preferably in a medical device environment or similarly regulated environment.
  • Recent grads will also work.
  • Understand technical concept.
  • Critical thinking
  • Translating a manual in to 42 different languages so sometimes it can get tedious.
  • Organized
  • Detail oriented.
  • InDesign adobe acrobat, illustrator and photoshop
  • Content management system experience
  • Self-motivated.
  • Technical drawings (small need)
  • Support 5 different business units
  • Computer skills
  • Labeling is nice to have.
  • Exp would ne nice to have but not required.
  • Associates degree needed minimum
  • Will not design or innovate any thing .
  • HM is not looking for creative graphic designers.

Onsite 100%

  • This job is part of the DQG (Document Quality Graphics Group) - 10% of the time will be spent in graphics and 90% of the time doing documentation, Largely consists of IFUs (Instructions for Use) translations so must be extremely Detail Oriented because the work is very repetitive.
  • Person channels the IFU to vendor for translation; not authoring IFU from scratch - works on what is provided to them in doing content verification and ensuring styles are applied correctly.
  • Works with CMS (Content Management System) - Author It, N-Design, and FrameMakers CMS can be taught so does not need to necessarily come with this experience but would be nice if they have it.
  • Also uses Illustrator and again this is preferred.
  • Adobe is a bonus also.


  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Ensure artwork schedule adherence and provide communication regarding priorities.
  • Attend product launch meetings as required.
  • Support routing and approval processes as required.
  • Create/Update, issue and distribute product artwork of current versions of QuarkXpress, CS5 including (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.).
  1. Responsible to manage computer generated labeling formats and to ensure production validation activities are addressed before authorizing release for production use.
  2. Assess proposed artwork packages and take appropriate actions to create, update to currently indicated standards, proofing, pre-flight, and communicate with production sites to ensure electronic artwork for AMO labeling/packaging components meets AMOs graphic standards and release requirements. And other activities as define by management.
  3. Participate in project team development meetings and with third party design artwork suppliers to support the initiation of appropriate artwork meeting requirements to minimize rework and delays.
  4. Monitor actions and escalate issues to department and project team management regarding artwork releases to meet project plan deadlines.


  • Requires a minimum of 2 years Production graphics experience in a quality or operational function, preferably in a medical device environment or similarly regulated environment.
  • Must have capacity for attention to detail with the ability to recognize errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Good oral and written communication and strong organizational skills necessary.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Must exhibit flexibility in meeting constantly changing demands.
  • Must have good customer focus with ability to influence internal and external groups.
  • Must have experience with graphics programs, word processing, and database/spreadsheet programs and bar-code applications as currently utilized at AMO on both the Macintosh and PC platforms.
  • Prior labeling development and proofreading experience is helpful.
