  Job Description

Intake:

Shift and Shift Hours: 1st shift, flexibale to a point, expectation is to start between 7:30-8:30am

100% onsite

Does this position have the possibility of being extended? Possibility, not sure if or when this person is returning from leave

 

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stocking lab supplies

• Washing glass ware
• Taking out hazardous waste
• Must be able to work independently and in a very busy environment
• Basic computer skills are important
• Experience working in a lab is a plus and not a must
• Will be trained on manual pallet jacks as needed, but most everything is not that heavy. Manager discourages from lifting things that are too heavy (get a buddy, take something out, etc).

 

Job Summary

  • Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the R&D stock rooms, glassware rooms, laboratories and warehouse areas performing other tasks as assigned by a supervisor/manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

  • Stock supplies in stockrooms and labs
  • Washes glassware and racks
  • Remove recycling from labs
  • Stock lab coats
  • Help with R&D warehouse needs

  • Sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
  • Safety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection Must be worn.
  • Exposure to blood.
  • Other (please specify): Work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab environment

Education

  • High School degree

 

Experience

  • The required skills, knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of 0-1 years of experience working in a lab environment.
