  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Digital and print exp is a must have
  • Will be using a MAC computer (Must Have)
  • HTML or CSS exp is a plus
  • Minimum 2 yrs exp needed
  • Portfolio link shared on resume is a plus
Nature of Role:
  • Will coordinate and manage production files and image library; will work with Graphic Design file formats and provide mechanical redlines/adjustments in Designer or Illustrator file.
  • Needs someone with Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and/or Design experience
  • Will NOT hire them if they don't have at least 3 years of experience with one or all of these systems to include Graphic Design and Packaging experience
  • Will be using a MAC computer plus experience with HCM or CSS Person will register and track issues with copywrite or packaging

  • As a Design Production Artist, you will have the opportunity to provide graphic production and digital support for packaging and labeling and other materials.
  • This position will help ensure that project deadlines can be met in a timely, cost effective manner, while maintaining consistent high quality according to corporate and production standards.
  • This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide graphic production support for a variety of packaging and labeling projects , both print and digital mediums.
  • Support department with other graphic production work, convert software file formats, provide mechanicals, prepare dummies etc.
  • Assist in preparing graphic files for outside suppliers; create CDs or transmit files electronically as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance of production files, image library, and server backups.
  • Works in a electronics workflow system
  • Partners closely with project coordinator/project manager and cross functional team to produce mechanical files, with all specifications needed for print and digital and deliver on time and on budget.
  • Responsible for finishing and providing layouts and final mechanical files for print  and digital mediums.

Experience You'll Bring

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree (BFA/BA), or an equivalent combination of work experience and education in lieu of degree.
  • Requires at least 4 years of relevant work experience, such as graphic production, design, packaging etc.
  • Computer literacy with PC

Preferred:

  • Experienced producing packaging and labeling artwork, preferably in consumer or medical packaged goods.
  • Understanding of legal issues involved in packaging: trademarks, copyrights, etc. useful.
  • Understanding of regulatory issues and labeling requirements for medical device products useful.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of digital, print materials and methods.
  • Knowledge of printing standards and methods of prepress production.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong proofreading skills a must.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent time management skills,, works with a sense of urgency and ownership
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
