  Job Description

8:00am-4:30pm

Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue

Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift

Please ensure that you are verifying the commute time to/from the physical work location when submitting candidates.

Candidates need to be within a 20-25 min commute window to ensure their ability to travel to/from the site for coverage.

 

 

This is a contract to hire position for the right candidate who is willing to show up every day and work.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for physical receipt of products, product staging, and routing of materials into and out of the Business Unit (BU).

 

Job Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Inspect, verify items to vendor paperwork, date stamp product in preparation for putaway.
  • Notify the receiving team of any discrepancies of materials versus shippers’ documentation.
  • Notify receiving team of any short-dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) and report to the Lean Supply Supervisor to determine any possible actions that may need taken.
  • Put warehoused items in their designated storage areas and rotate stock according to receipt date and expiration dates to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration.
  • Stage and deliver stock from the warehouse to the appropriate stocking areas within the laboratory departments.
  • Assist in warehouse cycle counting process.
  • Physically prepare shipments, for outbound shipments.
  • Comply with all applicable and current Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc. policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift – up to seventy (70) pounds
  • Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed (fork lift, pallet jack, etc.)

 

Education:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED

 

Experience:

  • One-year previous materials management experience
  • Forklift certification desired
