Summary:

  • The main function of a Communications Specialist is to assist corporate communications with message development, writing, and editing.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring timely, creative and accurate dissemination of program updates and information
  • Create a variety of content for platforms, ensuring quality, accuracy and effective storytelling that aligns with corporate messaging
  • Maintain editorial calendars for programs, manage documentation and program collateral
  • Maintain and update internal program SharePoint sites
  • Drive brand consistency across all communication channels
  • Event coordination and planning; managing suppliers and vendors/POs; organizing and preparing materials
  • Manage annual event calendar
  • Support collection of feedback/surveys
  • Preparation of PowerPoints and maintenance of program libraries and resources

 

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.

 

Education/Experience:

  • 2-4 years related experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
