  Job Description

Hybrid/ Key Responsibilities You will be one of a team of lawyers dealing with a challenging and varied local authority Planning law caseload in the busiest planning authority in the country. Your work will include: - Negotiating and drafting a suite of complex legal agreements related to substantial planning and regeneration schemes in the borough with a focus on delivering these efficiently within tight timeframes and in a commercial manner; - Providing timely, legally sound, practical advice to planning and highway officers on a range of legal queries; You will be commercially astute, have excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to provide clear and high quality legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers. You will be able to conduct a complex and varied caseload with minimum supervision, effectively deal with multiple priorities and will be accustomed to working at pace in a very busy team. You will have experience in negotiating and drafting complex s106 agreements with multiple Heads of Terms some of which will require bespoke legal drafting. You will be familiar with local government decision making and governance principles.
