7a-5p Day shift/ Eastern Time Zone

Cover the areas of Fairlawn and Wadsworth

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and Assist Visitors:
    • Warmly greet all visitors, patients, and clients as they enter the facility.
    • Answer initial questions and direct visitors to the appropriate area or staff member.
    • Provide information on general services, including laboratory or blood draw areas, when necessary.
  2. Provide Customer Service:
    • Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Listen to visitor inquiries and respond promptly and accurately.
    • Address visitor concerns professionally or refer them to the appropriate personnel.
  3. Coordination with Phlebotomy and Medical Staff:
    • Maintain a basic understanding of phlebotomy and laboratory procedures to answer general questions.
    • Assist in managing wait times by coordinating with phlebotomists or lab staff to facilitate smooth patient flow.
    • Inform patients of any preparatory steps before seeing the phlebotomist if needed.
  4. Maintain Clean and Organized Reception Area:
    • Keep the reception or waiting area tidy, well-stocked with informational materials, and sanitized.
    • Refill brochures or pamphlets about services, including those related to lab work or phlebotomy, to keep visitors informed.
  5. Support Administrative Tasks:
    • Answer phone calls, redirect calls as needed, and schedule or confirm appointments.
    • Record visitor information accurately if necessary for tracking and follow-up.
    • Provide additional support to staff in clerical tasks, including document preparation and filing.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and visitors.
  • Basic Phlebotomy Knowledge: Awareness of phlebotomy practices to assist with visitor inquiries about lab work and blood draws. (Formal phlebotomy certification is not required but is a plus.)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in customer service, front desk, or reception roles.
  • Familiarity with healthcare settings or phlebotomy is a plus.

 

 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience.
  • One(+) years phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience a must."
