Hybrid - Bridgewater or Cambridge

Advanced scientific or clinical degree in the life sciences (e.g. MD, Ph.D., Pharm.D.)

Experience:

• Medical / Scientific / Clinical background in Oncology
• Experience in Medical Communications
• Experience managing agencies  
• Experience with budget management

This role reports into the Global Medical Oncology team that is part of the Medical Specialty Care organization serving as a key strategic partner with commercial, regulatory, clinical, and market access on therapeutic solutions to support patients’ needs. Within our Global Medical Oncology team, we are committed to advance transformative therapies to help improve outcomes and impact the lives of people living with many different types of cancer.

• The Associate Director, Global Scientific Communications, Oncology is accountable to lead the strategy development and execution of scientific digital activities across the portfolio for Oncology through collaboration cross-functionally with Scientific Communications, Regions, Clinical Development, and the broader Medical team.
• Activities will include development omnichannel digital communications strategy across the Oncology portfolio, evaluation of potential digital partners, coordination of digital activities and communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Become a subject matter expert and internal liaison for digital deliverables
• Work with Medical Directors, vendors, Commercial, Operations and Medical Communications colleagues to manage digital related projects and content development.
• The candidate will also be responsible for evaluating new digital approaches to current business needs
• Contribute to the development of the Oncology digital communications strategy
• Responsibilities will continue to evolve with the field

Education:

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree in the life sciences (e.g. MD, Ph.D., Pharm.D.)

Technical skills:

• Strong computer skills and understanding of the digital communications space

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, thinks critically, and adheres to deadlines.
• Demonstrate track record in building and maintaining a network of internal and external experts, experience in working across and building effective partnerships
