  Job Description

Candidate should probably reside in NC. The position will be hybrid until the facility in Wilson, NC is open. Will be onsite 3 days a week at Cary, NC facility until Wilson, NC facility is open

Once facility is open in Wilson, NC the role will sit onsite in Wilson, NC

Will travel probably 1 week a month to a site in PA until the Wilson, NC site opens (mid 2025)

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must have at least 3 years exp in capital construction projects
  • This is one of the largest capital construction projects
  • Will be collaborating with a large General Contractor/Construction Company
  • The client team and the Construction Procurement Teams will be working very closely together
  • Will be heavily involved in procurement process
  • Working with a lot of subcontracting suppliers
  • Assist with bids and timelines of capital projects
  • Will be reviewing documents and helping with approvals
  • Experience with Scout (similar to Workday) used for RFPs, would be ideal
  • Experience with Docusign, a plus
  • Prior Pharma drug substance manufacturing experience ideal (in Large Molecule)

Title: Capital Construction Procurement Specialist

  • Managing and leading vendor contract negotiations, developing and implementing MSA’s, OTA’s and SOW through EMarketplace Contracting (eMC) – Supplier Contracting Services.
  • Responsible for managing the procurement of Capital Equipment & Capital Construction with our external partners - Negotiating payment terms, payment milestones and package discounts during commercial bid evaluations.
  • Circulating fully negotiated package recommendations to System Owners and the Project Procurement, Engineering, PMO & Construction Leads for approval before sending to Project Controls Analyst to create an official Purchase Order. Following up to ensure timely approvals.
  • Supplier relationship management - issuing RFI/RFP/RFQ’s to external stakeholders (local suppliers where possible), negotiating effectively and ensuring appropriate risk management is undertaken.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly project updates

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Procurement processes
  • Procurement experience supporting capital construction projects for drug substance manufacturing (including supply chain or direct materials)
  • Shared services center knowledge with Procure to Pay cycle experience
  • Knowledge of Procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, Scout, Salesforce.com)
  • Proven efficiency working ly and onsite with business partners and suppliers
