  Job Description

Hybrid onsite two days per week.

Job Summary:

  • The position is responsible for assisting in the selection, development, negotiation, and execution of contracts that cover a wide variety of specifications and commercial items or services.
  • The incumbent will also be responsible for gathering and presenting utilization and spend information for the purpose of building and managing sourcing category strategies.
  • Works with internal clients to integrate procurement processes and policies into regular business practice, including assisting with accurate completion of Workday processes and compliance with procurement policies.
  • Works with Strategic Sourcing Staff, internal clients and external suppliers on the creation, dissemination, and management of RF(x) and related activities.
  • Procures goods and services as assigned via eProcurement tools. Evaluates products and services for overall value (including price, quality, etc.)
  • In coordination with other members of the Strategic Sourcing team, internal clients, and suppliers - Obtain quotes; conduct cost analysis; and participate and price and term/condition negotiations.
  • Assists other Strategic Sourcing staff with special projects
  • Generates queries and reports from the appropriate Strategic Sourcing systems for internal customers as requested

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 1- 2 years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement field required.

 

Knowledge

  • Preferred - Healthcare Industry, Contracting (Legal), Finance, Technology, Workday
  • Requires an ability to think analytically
  • Requires good oral, written, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Requires good PC skills (MS Office)
  • Prefers working knowledge of eProcurement systems (i.e. Workday, Icertis, Cognos)
