  Job Description

Must Have

  • Basic scientific benchtop product measurement experience (ex: weighing, measuring, characterizing physical products)
  • Computer skills - including ability to learn and work with new software easily.
  • Hands-on lab experimentation experience
  • Strong data entry skills with high level of detail and precision

 

Nice To Have

  • +2-3 Years of Experience on Programming Language such as Python/SQL/Java/C-Lang.
  • Welcome any work/personal development experience using Programming Language

 

Intake Call Notes:

  • Basic science laboratory testing
  • Imaging, basic camera and tripods, taking photographic pictures of products
  • Capture experiments in laboratory notebook – digital notebook
  • Onboarding on a software for tagging of the picture
  • Working in two laboratories, can travel between buildings within the site, carts and equipment will be provided
  • Training with a specific imaging system
  • Attention to detail
  • Monday to Friday, 8-4
  • On site, free parking
  • A plus if candidate has consumer goods product background

 

Duties:

  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference.
  • Responsible for handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager.
  • Receive, label and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue etc.)
  • Design and execute laboratory testing according standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
  • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods
  • Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
  • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
  • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

 

Education:

  • Degree in related discipline (Chemistry, Biology, ect) and/or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials and substances.
  • Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, ability to create and analyze statistical calculations and prepare reports required
