This particular position as needed status. For the first few weeks of the on-boarding process might work more hours.

Once all the trainings are completed, the working hours is depend to the project being supported. The time varies on each week.

We normally notify our slide readers of at least a week prior to the project starts and occasionally 24-hr when there some urgent projects

Be able to identify blood films

• BS/MS in Medical Technology (ASCP) certified.
• 5+ years in comprehensive and continuing experience in following standard diagnostic procedures.
• Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid, to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
• Studies blood cells, their numbers and morphology. Performs blood group, type and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes.
• Analyzes test results and enters findings in computer. Performs quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data.
• Engages in medical research under direction of Chief Medical Technologist. Performs routine preventative maintenance of assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure.
• Verifies instrument functioning by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data.
• Records on instrument logs any repairs, replacement and maintenance needed of equipment. Trains and supervises students
