  Job Description

Candidates must work onsite, 50% of the time

Onsite days are flexible but Wednesdays is typically when the full team is onsite

Regular Business Hours - candidates with the flexibility to work some evening hours is preferred (this on project basis only, not all the time) 

 

Must Have List:

  • US Speaker Bureau Experience - 3 year
  • US Speaker Program Experience - 3 year
  • Speaker Bureau Vendor management

 

Highly Preferred:

  • Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL (pivots, vlook ups) preferred
  • Speaker Training (virtual) preferred
  • Understanding of Veeva promo mats experience preferred

   

Purpose/Objective of the Job:

  • Partners with US Marketing and Sales teams to develop Promotional Education Program (Peer-to-Peer / P2P) strategies and tactics in alignment with business priorities.
  • Responsible for the effective planning and execution of P2P programs to support best-in-class HCP customer engagement.
  • Contributes to performance excellence and continuous improvement for P2P marketing programs/tactics.

 

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

 

Channel Strategy and Management

 

  • Maintains an understanding of promotional education trends and Client business priorities in order to identify opportunities to drive business impact
  • Provides recommendations to US Brand and Sales matrix teams to guide best-in-class HCP customer engagement
  • Conducts or coordinates appropriate analysis to support recommendations and to further enhance P2P knowledge, expertise

 

Budget management

  • Collaborates with brand teams to plan and track Promotional Education Program operational budgets
  • Develops and manages speaker training budgets to include venue, travel, logistics, vendor fees and HCP honoraria

 

Promotional Education Program Support

 

Project initiation

  • Creates/updates, gains alignment/approval for, and manages distribution of speaker program planning documents (series brief)
  • Initiates HealthSTAR project plan for activation of speaker programs to field force
  • Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders on the implementation of podium programs/symposia within conferences & congresses
  • Partner with Speaker Bureau Vendor and podium program/symposia point for submission of all documentation to execute tactic

 

Content Creation

  • Identifies, drafts, and/or gains approval for speaker training content, pre/post-event communications, and other supporting P2P resources Content Management
  • Develops and gains approvals on pull-through Promotional Education Program materials, including acting as Champion in Promotional Review of non-core content (such as program invites and recruitment materials)
  • Manages brand speaker communications regarding training content updates, label changes, etc.

 

Speaker Training Planning and Execution

  • Accountable for speaker training planning and execution, including venue coordination, vendor management and logistics, HCP Payments and training records
  • Delivers stakeholder training to all commercial and medical team participants

 

Speaker Bureau Management

  • Speaker Training Planning and Execution
  • Accountable Manages requirements for speaker contracting, conducts analysis for bureau size recommendations/regional allocations, and partners with Field Sales and Medical on nominations/validations for new speakers
  • Determines fair market value (FMV) and secures legal consultation Manages speaker bureau maintenance and speaker support resources
  • Manages contracting and logistics vendor partners to ensure availability of speakers and resources to the field

  

Key Stakeholders/Contacts

  • Key business partners: Brand Marketing teams, Sales and Sales operations, Home Office and Field Medical Teams
  • Key matrix partners: Legal, Compliance, Finance
  • Key external suppliers: Speaker Program Logistics vendors, Agency Partners, Meeting Management vendors

 

List of Minimum Position Requirements/Competencies:

Degree/Certification/Licensure:

  • BA/BS degree required.

 

Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years:

  • Candidate should possess 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with understanding of Promotional Education Programs; therapeutic area/brand team experience preferred; sales, project management, and/or operations experience also.

 

Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities, other:

  • Understanding of Commercial Operations or Strategy
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, management, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record collaborating with large matrix teams
