08/04/2020

Chat with Nish is a series hosted by Nish Parikh, CEO, Co-Founder and Chief Empathy Advocate at Rangam.

"We become what we consume." - Monica Kang

On August 5th, 2020 , Monica Kang of InnovatorsBox® joined Nish Parikh of Rangam to talk about "Creativity in Leadership". Monica works with industry leaders as an executive coach to bring creativity and innovation to the workplace.

During her interaction with Nish, she emphasized the importance of creativity, culture, curiosity, and empathy. Monica believes in building a creative work culture through workshops and fun activities. Humans learn through experience , she noted.

According to her, organizations should focus on building a healthy, creative, and holistic culture. Showing energy at work, making everyone comfortable to share their ideas and opinions, and constant improvement are the keys to building an empathetic work culture.

According to Monica, most organizations don’t align their company’s KPI with human KPI; they have a more product-focused and customer-centric approach. Organizations should trust their employees and encourage them to take responsibility , she added.

Leaders should provide space to be creative, empathetic, and innovative. Monica mentioned everybody needs to build leadership within themselves to bring creativity and innovation to the workplace. Everyone should choose positive energies over negative ones by acquiring proper knowledge, meeting the right people, and watching great videos.

Everyone should focus on spreading positivity. Every Wednesday at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Nish chats with thought leaders about how they are contributing to empathy in the workplace, employment for everyone, and innovation.

These 30-minute conversations are meant to explore the incredible contributions being made through empathy that are shaping a new way to work for all. Join us every Wednesday to spread innovative thoughts, compassion, and empathy!
