Social Capitalism: Bryan Peña Chats with Nish

01/06/2021

The deeper the connection with what you do, the easier it is to address change. On January 6th, 2021, Bryan Peña of Defiant Solutions joined Nish Parikh of Rangam in an interesting conversation around social capitalism.

Bryan said that in the race to find opportunities, the most constant factor is change and that change has arrived. There are societal, government, regulatory, and technological changes influencing lives. These changes are affecting lives differently.

“Not everyone gets the same opportunity,” Bryan said while emphasizing the need to present equal opportunities to everyone. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the worldview of everyone. With companies embracing the work from home culture, everyone is getting equal opportunities. People with unique abilities are getting the right opportunities.

“The power of connection is the next big thing,” he stated, adding that connecting good people with other good people is a good business practice and a differentiator in the workforce.

According to Bryan, one of the novel ways of doing business is social capitalism where companies focus on their contribution to the society. It’s a gift to be able to give to people and with technology playing the role of an equalizer, the world is moving towards democratization of opportunities, according to Bryan.

With equalization and democratization of opportunities, people are having equal access to opportunities like never before. Expansion of the workforce and collaboration is the key to success, according to him. Every Wednesday at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Nish chats with thought leaders about how they are contributing to empathy in the workplace, employment for everyone, and innovation.

These 30-minute conversations are meant to explore the incredible contributions being made through empathy that are shaping a new way to work for all. Join us every Wednesday to spread innovative thoughts, compassion, and empathy!
